Outer Cape Health Services (OCHS) is a federally qualified, not for profit community health center serving eight towns of lower Cape Cod. We were involved on multiple projects from design, construction, strategic planning, to developing programming for feasibility assessment towards the goal of meeting the immediate and long-term needs of the health centers.

We were first commissioned to design a 9,990 sf two storey health center for the planning of a new facility in Orleans. The program included outpatient and urgent care services for general medicine with imaging, pharmacy, medical laboratory, patient health resources and community meeting rooms.

Our involvement with OCHS continued as Owner’s Project Manager to oversee the construction of the addition to the Provincetown Health Center.

A master plan was then later developed to include three new facilities and renovation of three others in Wellfleet, Harwich and Brewster. Conceptual designs were developed to meet budgetary constraints, schedules, USDA loan requirements and operational needs. Architectural services included assistance in the site selection, community outreach and federal grant application processes. The health centers were designed as Patient Centered Medical Care with administrative offices located within the Harwich Center.
